Handover
What to review at handover
Handover is more than viewing a finished interior. It is a review of the agreed work and a record of anything that still needs attention.
Review the plan and the result together
Review the agreed scope room by room. Check what was completed, what changed and which additional work was approved. Use records rather than relying only on memory.
Ask for inspection records
Ask the responsible specialist what checks were performed on the electrical, water and heating systems, and where the results are recorded. A visual review or an online checklist cannot replace a professional technical inspection.
Assign each outstanding item
For any unresolved item, record the issue, who is responsible and the agreed deadline. Photos and a clear location make follow-up communication easier.
Collect the project documents
Review photos of concealed work, utility layouts, material details and care instructions where they are included in the project scope. These records can help with future changes.
Agree how to request support
Confirm in writing who to contact after handover, the applicable terms and the scope of support. Use the checklist on the homepage to prepare for this conversation.
